The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, outlined a series of instructions aimed at ensuring the successful gas infrastructure development of the country, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Despite growth, Kazakhstan's gas production and output remain relatively modest, and the construction of gas processing plants at Kashagan and Zhanaozen has been postponed.
The development of new fields and the attraction of investments in geological exploration are also progressing at a slow pace. Consequently, the Prime Minister has instructed the Ministry of Energy and QazaqGaz to develop comprehensive roadmaps for the construction of gas processing plants and the development of new gas fields.
At the National Kurultai, the Head of State gave instructions to provide the population with gas and modernize gas pipelines nationwide. The National Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC has allocated 105 billion tenge for this purpose.
Olzhas Bektenov has instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with local executive bodies, to ensure the timely utilization of the allocated funds and to complete all necessary work on the construction of networks by the end of the year.
