Kazakh PM proposes to open ECO Representation in Almaty

TEHRAN. March 11. KAZINFORM /Yenur Akanbai/ Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has proposed to open the ECO Representation Office on development of science and new technologies in Almaty at the 10th ECO Summit; Kazinform reports.

?It is necessary to create a new development strategy of the Organization for its optimal performance. All member states should focus efforts on implementation of prospective projects. Thus it is possible to direct efforts to the financial-economic sphere in 2010, and announce 2011 a year of new technologies development. In this context Kazakhstan suggests opening the ECO Representation Office on development of science and new technologies in Almaty?, K.Massimov said. According to K.Massimov, the ECO representation activity will make a contribution to development of the Organization?s service in Central Asia and help identify relationships in the sphere of new technologies.
