Kazakh PM Smailov chairs meeting of State Commission for Economic Modernization

 The State Commission for Economic Modernization held a meeting under the chairmanship of Kazakh Prime minister Alikhan Smailov, Kazinform News Agency cites primeminister.kz. 

The meeting discussed the construction of a ferroalloy production plant in Ekibastuz, Pavlodar region. The plant with an annual capacity of 80 thousand tons of ferrosilicon will create over 520 permanent jobs and increase the export of this production to Japan, South Korea, the US, Türkiye, and EU.

The project worth over KZT113bn is to be commissioned in 2025.

Further development of oilfields, productivity enhancement, job creation, and providing service companies with the necessary work were considered as well.
