Kazakh PM suggests ECO states new approach to multilateral agreements' implementation

ISTANBUL. December 23. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Prime Minister Karim Massimov offers the ECO participating states to use a new approach to implementation of multilateral agreements to work more effectively. He made it public at the 11th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Istanbul on Thursday.

"Our Organization represents various groups of interests, different political views; the ECO member states have different economic development levels. However, to move forward we need a new approach to the implementation of multilateral agreements, which will allow to mobilize our resources and implement joint projects more effectively", K. Massimov emphasized.

The Prime Minister noted that the relationship between ECO states is strong due to common culture and history. "Kazakhstan maximally uses the Organization as an effective mechanism to promote international cooperation and interaction between the ECO participating states", he added.

The Premier said that Kazakhstan contributed a lot to draft agenda of the organization. "Our priorities are transport, energy, agriculture, environmental protection", Mr. Massimov resumed.
