Kazakh PM urges to commence construction of Balkhash thermal power plant

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Serik Akhmetov, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, has given an instruction to commence the construction of the Balkhash thermal power plant this spring.

"As you know, the President of Kazakhstan repeatedly urged to start the construction of the Balkhash thermal power plant. The decision on the commencement of construction has been delayed for no good reason," Premier Akhmetov told the enlarged session of the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.

Mr. Akhmetov also instructed to submit the plant construction project for the Government's approval by Monday (March 3).
