Kazakh PM urges to prevent unemployment increase in villages
ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ A minimum task is to prevent the increase in unemployment rate in villages, a maximum task is to create new working places through planned programs. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has made it public today taking floor at the sitting of the board of the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture; Kazinform reports.
?The first problem of 2009 is the employment. As a minimum we should prevent unemployment in villages and as a maximum ? create new working places through the appropriate programs?, the Premier emphasized. ?If we won?t do this, people from villages will come in cities and join criminal groups?, he added.
Estimating the work of the Ministry for 2008 the Prime Minister noted that ?almost all tasks for 2008 have been implemented?. Speaking about tasks for the current year K. Massimov told ?it is important to preserve achievements of the past?.
The Prime Minister also reminded that there would be introduced a new process in 2009 when every Minister is to report on the results of work not in general, but covering definite obligations?.
