Kazakh PM Bektenov chairs meeting to discuss sustainable economic growth
Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov met with the members of the expert community in economy and entrepreneurship, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The meeting primarily focused on measures and ways of the government’s economic bloc toward sustainable economic growth.
Deputy Premier – National Economy Minister Serik Zhumangarin reported on the current economic situation in the country as well as voiced approaches to tax and budget reform to promote manufacturing, infrastructure modernization, launch new growth points in regions.
The participants of the meeting discussed the new draft Tax and Budget Codes, which include measures for stabilizing state finances and their efficient use.
Recalling that the President set the task to change the economic structure with efforts to promote the real sector, Bektenov pointed out that the ‘tax and budget reform will be an effective mechanism for enhanced work to further develop the economy’.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Premier Olzhas Bektenov gave a number of instructions regarding IT sector promotion.
