Kazakh Premier visited Uzbekistan

ASTANA. April 3. KAZINFORM. Today Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has paid a working visit to Uzbekistan; Kazinform refers to the PM?s press service.

K. Massimov met with President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to discuss the issues of development of bilateral trade-economic cooperation. I. Karimov said that during yesterday?s telephone conversation with President Nursultan Nazarbayev they discussed the issues of development of interstate relations, trade-economic cooperation and regional collaboration. The Kazakh Premier and Uzbek President also considered the prospects of extension of frontier trade, interaction in water energy sphere and supplies of Uzbekistan?s agricultural products to Kazakhstan. The parties expressed interest in cooperation on overcoming the challenges of the global financial crisis.
