Kazakh President arrived in St. Petersburg to attend G-20

SAINT-PETERSBURG. September 5. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived in Saint Petersburg to partake in G-20 Summit.

The first meeting "Economic growth and global economy" will be held in the Konstantinovsky Palace today.

Kazakhstan takes part in the G-20 Summit as a representative of the EurAsEc, the Customs Union and the CIS.

Presidents of 20 states, leaders of the six invited countries and heads of the world's eight largest economic organizations attend the Summit.

As reported earlier, Kazakhstan uses a G-20 platform to promote its agenda at the global level and strengthen foreign and international authority. Development of sustainable energy including "green economy" strategy, "Green Bridge" initiative and EXPO-2017 Concept are the key points.

Kazakhstan supports G-20 initiatives and recommendations in full measure.

The Russian side has promised a fruitful discussion aimed at the adoption of decisions to stimulate the growth of the world economy and create new jobs.

It is expected that issues of further measures to stabilize the Syrian conflict will be among the unstated key points in the official agenda of the summit. Following the summit a declaration is planned to be signed.
