Kazakh President attends presentations of Akmola, Aktobe regions and Almaty city
Akim of Akmola region Sergey Dyachenko told about social and economic achievements of his region over the past 20 years. Gross regional product increased from KZT 2.3 billion in 1993 to KZT 586 billion in 2010. Industrial production grew from KZT 837 million in 1993 to KZT 180 billion in 2010. For two years of implementing the program of forced industrial innovative development the Akmola region carried out 33 projects totaling KZT 92 billion, created more than 5000 new jobs. Since 1991 the region commissioned 1.3 million sq m of housing. During the years of independence there were opened 58 kindergartens and 305 mini centers, 20 schools. For the past five years the region built 6 health facilities.
Akim of Aktobe region Arkhimed Mukhambetov told the President about the economic situation in the region. Aktobe region is one of the most dynamically developing regions of Kazakhstan. Gross regional product increased 822 times since 1993. This year it is expected at the level of KZT 1.3 trillion. About 400 investment projects were implemented in the region within the framework of the forced industrial innovative development program. 4.3 million sq m of housing were put into operation for 20 years. The region opened 139 new health facilities, 40 schools, 427 kindergartens. About 20 monuments were erected in the region under the program "Cultural Heritage".
Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov briefed the President on the dynamics of economic, social and humanitarian development of Almaty. The city produces 20 percent of Kazakhstan's GDP and makes up 25 percent of the national budget revenues. 10 million sq m of housing was commissioned for 20 years. The city opened 31 new health facilities, 35 schools. Special attention is paid to small and medium businesses development. More than 74 thousand business entities are registered in Almaty. 16 projects are implemented in the region within the framework of forced industrial innovative development program.
After the presentation Nursultan Nazarbayev visited a gala concert of Akmola and Aktobe regions and the city of Almaty.
