Kazakh President: CIS should be improved further
President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced during an informal session of the Council of the CIS Heads of State in Moscow.
At the opening of the session Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted that for 20 years it became clear that the Commonwealth passed over very difficult way of development.
D.Medvedev emphasized that the CIS became an important factor of stability in the post-Soviet space and is an authoritative regional union.
The Kazakh President, in his turn, emphasized that at the beginning the CIS gave a chance to strengthen former USSR countries, did not allowed to lead to interstate conflicts. Hence the CIS should be improved further.
The Kazakh President drew attention to necessity of development of relationships within the Free Trade Zone Treaty.
