Kazakh President congratulates new Japanese PM on landslide victory
ASTANA. December 29. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a telegram to newly appointed Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe to congratulate him on the landslide victory of his Liberal Democratic Party in the parliamentary elections and his appointment as the head of the Japanese Government, the presidential press service reports.

According to President Nazarbayev, the victory demonstrates the confidence Japanese people have in S.Abe and his party.
"I positively estimate the development of bilateral relations based on friendship and mutual trust and I am confident in further consolidation of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Japan under your leadership," the telegram reads.
Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev invited S. Abe to Kazakhstan to discuss joint efforts aimed at deepening the Kazakh-Japanese cooperation.
