Kazakh President extends congratulations on 80th birth anniversary of poetess Akushtap Baktygereeva
The Kazakh capital Astana hosted the solemn event, celebrating the 80th birth anniversary of Kazakhstan’s merited figure, state prize winner, recipient of Qurmet and Oran Orders Akushtap Baktygereeva, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Attending the event were Kazakh Senate Chairman Maulen Ashimbayev, Majilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov, Kazakh Culture and Information Minister Aida Balayeva.
Kazakhstani people know and respect you as a gifted writer and prominent public figure, who contributed greatly to the promotion of our culture and art… Your poems, dedicated to Independent Kazakhstan, peaceful life and beauty of nature, were received warmly by readers. Your views on family values, upbringing of daughters and the role of a mother in the society are widely supported, said Aida Balayeva, while reading out the congratulatory letter by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
In her speech, Balayeva also extended congratulations to the poetess on her anniversary and noted that creative legacy of Akushtap Baktygereeva had a great role in the upbringing of the youth and the establishment of spiritual values among the rising generation.
The minister added that a number of events and literary evenings were held to mark the 80th anniversary of Akushtap Baktygereeva, including the literary-musical evening at the Kazakh National University of Arts, the play Zhuban, directed by the poetess herself and playwright Madina Omarova, at the Khadisha Bukeeva West Kazakhstan Regional Kazakh Drama Theatre.
The Kazakh National Academic Library hosted the literary evening “Alashtyn Akushtaby,” during which the book ‘Menin Farizam’ by Akushtap Baktygereeva, dedicated to one of the most prominent representatives of Kazakh literature Fariza Ongarssynova, was presented.
The meeting of Akushtap Baktygereeva with her readers took place at the Gumilyev Eurasian National University as well.
