Kazakh President gives instructions on Zhanaozen rehabilitation

ASTANA. December 22. KAZINFORM Presently, the situation in Zhanaozen is stabilized. Local authorities function normally. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev made it public at a session on rehabilitation of Zhanaozen town on Thursday in Astana.

Head of Presidential Administration Aslan Mussin reported on the course of execution of instructions given at the sitting of the Kazakhstan Security Council on 17 December.

First Deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev told the President about the work of the special commission for the solution of socio-economic, humanitarian and other problems arisen in connection with the riots in Zhanaozen town.

Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev told about the course of investigation designed to identify and apprehend those responsible for organizing riots.

Following the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev gave a number of instructions.
