Kazakh President gives instructions to Defense Minister S. Akhmetov
During the meeting Serik Akhmetov reported on systematic work in maintaining the combat readiness of the Armed Forces, spoke about the ongoing organizational and practical measures to increase the combat training of troops, and to equip the army with modern weapons and military technology. Head of State stressed the importance of further development of the military-industrial complex and the need to strengthen military-technical cooperation with leading international manufacturers. Nursultan Nazarbayev has focused on issues of ammunition production by Kazakh enterprises. In addition, the President of Kazakhstan instructed Akhmetov to consider aspects of the Ministry's activity taking into account the task of forming compact Government and improving governance. Following the meeting, the Head of State gave a number of specific instructions.
