Kazakh President lights up National Christmas Tree

ASTANA. November 25. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has lighted up the National Christmas Tree at the square in front of the Akorda residence in Astana today.

"By tradition, it is the third time we light up a Christmas tree on the main square in the capital of the country Astana. This year we're doing it earlier. Before the New Year is still a month and five days, there will be many celebrations and joy", the Head of the State noted.

The President emphasized that the Year of the Tiger was good for Kazakhstan. "We have overcome the crisis, boosted the economy, improved the live standards of our citizens, strengthened the credibility of our country. Kazakhstan became a respected country in the world. In several days we will host the OSCE Summit that will gather heads of 55 states and 20 international organizations. We take great pride in it. This shows the world's big confidence in country, our city", N. Nazarbayev said.

The President wished happiness, well-being and peace to each family and the whole country.
