ASTANA. April 11. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has ordered to improve the capital's airport infrastructure.

"Airport is a gate of the capital. At its territory there are no enough parking spaces and driveways. The number of flights is increasing. Our plans for the future are the opening of an Astana air hub, we are working on it. Hence, we need a different look at our airport," Nursultan Nazarbayev said speaking at a meeting on further development of the capital.

The Kazakh President also expressed concern about the cost of air and railway tickets to Astana. "The transport rates are a serious matter," the Head of State noted.
