Kazakh President receives CSTO Secretary General
ASTANA. December 12. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev received Nikolay Bordyuzha, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on Monday; Kazinform has learned from the presidential press service.
Bordyuzha told about the progress of preparation for the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council scheduled for December 2011 in Moscow.
"The August informal summit of the CSTO heads of state, which took place in Astana, has proven to be very effective. The summit reached agreement on the issues of CSTO development. Today, I have told the President of Kazakhstan about the process of implementation of those agreements. In Moscow Kazakhstan will take over the CSTO chairmanship. Traditionally, the chairmanship of Kazakhstan is very creative and successful, so we are confident that next year will be marked by intense activity of the CSTO and effective results," Bordyuzha said.
