Kazakh President?s Envoy, Emir of Qatar met
ASTANA. March 25. KAZINFORM Special Envoy of Kazakh President, Senate Deputy Garifolla Yessimov and Emir of Qatar sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani met in Doha, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry informed Kazinform.
The Kazakh Senator extended an invitation to Qatari Emir from President Nursultan Nazarbayev to take part in the III Congress of the leaders of world and traditional religions on July 1-2 in Astana.
Mr. Yessimov noted that this initiative proposed by President Nazarbayev was a significant contribution of Kazakhstan to the global process of interethnic dialogue. The Congress is holding the special place among the efforts of the world community on strengthening tolerance, mutual understanding, dialogue and cooperation.
The Qatari Leader expressed support of the upcoming event and noted the affinity of its purposes and goals with the International Conference on Interethnic Dialogue, held annually in Doha. He confirmed that Qatar would take part in the III Congress of the leaders of world and traditional religions on the top level.
The sides underlined the dynamic development of the relations between the countries and the high level of interaction in political, economic and cultural fields.
