Kazakh President's 'Eurasian' initiative became the basis of CU, CES

ASTANA. December 1. KAZINFORM  An international 'round table' was held in Minsk at the CIS headquarters in anticipation of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Day of the First President, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.  

The theme of the session was «The Role of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in the development of integration processes in the post-Soviet space."

The session was  attended by members of Parliament and representatives of the state bodies of the Republic of Belarus, scientists, social and political leaders, representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Kazakh ambassador Yergali Bulegenov mentioned consistent and decisive steps of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to create common economic and humanitarian space, as well as ensure regional security system.

All participants of the round table highlighted the role of the Kazakh Leader in the processes that are taking place not only regionally but also internationally.

Thus, First Vice Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Vladimir Garkun drew attention to the exceptional value of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the formation and development of the CIS.

Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Belarus A.Zozulya focused on the creation of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space based on the 'Eurasian' initiative of the Head of Kazakhstan.
