Kazakh President to hold meetings in Davos
DAVOS. January 29. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the plenary session on the occasion of opening of the World Economic Forum that is held on January 28-31 in Davos, Kazinform reports.
Such summits are held annually in Davos, but the current one differs by a record number of outstanding politicians: about 40 presidents and prime ministers take part in the summit.
The main topic of the summit is the global financial crisis: it is held under the motto "Shaping the Post-Crisis World". One of the peculiarities of the forum is that no documents are singed here, and very often informal meetings take place within the event.
Within a busines meeting in Davos President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with a group of reps of multinational companies, initiated the meeting. About 30 leading businessmen from the United Arab Emirats, USA, Korea and other countries took part in the meeting.

Meetings of the Kazakh President with Head of the World Bank Robert Zoellick, President of Israel Shimon Peres, Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Thomas Mirow and Prince Andrew are scheduled for the second part of the day.
