Kazakh President to hold several meetings with Belgian and EU top officials

BRUSSELS. October 25. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ In the course of the first day of an official visit to Belgium President Nursultan Nazarbayev will hold a number of meetings with the top officials of the country and the European Union.

Today the Head of the State is to meet with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen and President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Philippe Maystadt. Besides, the Kazakh President will meet with King Albert II of Belgium and Acting Prime Minister Yves Leterme.

Within the framework of the visit to the Egmont Palace the Head of State will open a monument to victims of nuclear tests, which was presented to the Belgian people by the Kazakh side.

Moreover, several agreements in the field of economy, education, energy and finance are planned to be signed.
