Kazakh President to participate in celebration of Republic Day of India

NEW DELHI. January 26. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, paying official visit to India, will take part in celebration of the Republic Day in New Delhi as an honorary guest, Kazinform reports.

There exists tradition in India to proclaim one of the foreign leaders ?the chief guest? of the holiday: either the President or Prime Minister. This year the Kazakh Leader became the chief guest. Festive parade will pass through the central Rajpath Avenue from the Presidential Palace to the India Gate. A ceremony of arrival of Indian President Pratibhi Devisingh Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will be held prior to the parade. Indian armament and festive performances of several groups from all regions of the country will be performed within the parade. Besides, the viewers will enjoy an air show of the pilots of Indian Air Forces. At the end of the visit, N.Nazarbayev will participate in the ceremonial reception of the Indian President.
