Kazakh President Tokayev lays flowers at tomb of Heydar Aliyev and eternal flame on Alley of Martyrs in Baku

While on a state visit to Azerbaijan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid tribute to the memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath to his tomb, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

The Kazakh Head of State also laid flowers at the tomb of Zarifa Aliyeva, wife of Heydar Aliyev, and at the eternal flame in Baku.

Tokayev took part in the ceremony of laying a wreath at the eternal flame on the Alley of Martyrs, where the heroic sons of the Azerbaijani nation, died for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of the country are buried.

The Alley of Martyrs, located in the capital of Azerbaijan - the city of Baku, on the territory of Nagorny Park - a mass grave in which the victims of the 1990 tragedy and those who died in the first Nagorno-Karabakh war are buried.
