Kazakh President unveiled Triumphal Arch in Astana

Above 20,000 residents and guests of Astana city, members of the Government, Parliament of Kazakhstan, heads of state agencies attended the ceremony, our correspondent reports.

Kazakhstan's ever-first Triumphal Arch in Astana is a new symbol of modern Kazakhstan and triumph of its nation which realized a centuries-long dream of independence and sovereignty of the country.

The arch is 20 meters high symbolizes the twentieth anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.

The idea of its construction belongs to the Head of State. The project has been implemented by Astana chief architect Sagyndyk Dzhambulatov and architect Kanat Kurganov.
