Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex congratulates veteran on upcoming 100th anniversary
The workers of the TV and Radio Complex of the President of Kazakhstan visited a living legend, a 99-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War Zhakan Seissebayev, on the eve of Independence Day of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
His life is full of war deeds. Next March Zhakan Seissebayev will celebrate his 100th anniversary.
At the age of 99 he keeps his spirits high and his mind sharp. He says it is crucial to learn throughout life, to work hard, and support each other.
His daughter says their father does not spend too much time sitting; he always works. He works, takes a little rest, and then returns to work in the garden.
He was conscripted to fight in the Great Patriotic War at 17 and celebrated the victory in 1945 in Konigsberg just 60 km away from Berlin.
Zhakan Seissebayev has four children.
As earlier reported, the oldest Kazakh woman turns 114. There are 423 centenarians aged 100 years and above in Kazakhstan.
