One of the highlights of the documentary about Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit is the meeting of the teacher and the student. Professor Liu Shiqin saw his student Kassym-Jomart Tokayev 40 years after the latter’s internship at the Beijing Linguistic Institute.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also paid a historic visit to Urumqi, the center of Xinjiang, bordering on Kazakhstan’s Abai, Almaty, East Kazakhstan and Zhetysu regions. The documentary details the meeting with a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and Communist Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) Ma Xingrui. The sides discussed relations between Kazakhstan and XUAR in such areas as trade, industry, transport, logistics, agriculture, and tourism.
