Kazakh Prime Minister Bektenov awards Paralympic Games winners
Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov awarded today the medalists of the Summer Paralympic Games 2024 and their coaches on behalf of the Head of State, Kazinform News Agency learnt from primeminister.kz.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Kazakh para-athletes since Kazakhstan Team won a record high medals at the Summer Paralympics in Paris.
As earlier reported, the Head of State decreed to award Akmaral Nauatbek the Barys Order, III Degree. Akmaral Nauatbek won the gold medal in the women’s judo finals at the Summer Paralympic Games.
The Head of State decreed to award the country's first two-time Paralympic Games powerlifting champion David Degtyarev the Barys Order, I Degree.
Silver medalists of the Summer Olympic Games Yerkin Gabbasov, Nurdaulet Zhumagali and Yergali Shamey were conferred the Parasat Order.
Bronze medalists Dastan Mukashbekov, Zarina Raifov, Dayana Fedossova and Zhurkamyrza Shukerbekov were decorated with the Kurmet Order.
The chief coaches of the national team and personal coaches were bestowed state awards.
