Kazakh Prosecutor General termed Khorgoss Case unprecedented in history of Kazakhstan

"The Khorgoss Case" is on the homestretch. This is an unprecedented case in the history of our state. The size of the criminal case consists of 1.5 thousand volumes, and each one of them includes 300 pages. This is the volume that can be read for years," A.Daulbaev said.
The Kazakh Prosecutor General noted that the persons accused of crimes got acquainted with the materials of the criminal case in April last year. According to him, today the investigation of the case is completed.
"The case will be sent to the court as soon as possible ", Daulbayev added.
As reported earlier, an organized criminal group of more than 100 people had been involved in the large-scale theft at the customs offices in Almaty region in late 2011. According to the Financial Police, the activities of the organized criminal groups together with the criminal world involved some law enforcement officials, who were patronizing the group for a money reward.
