Kazakh-Russian presidents hold closed-door meeting in Akorda
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev greeted his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the Akorda Residence, Kazinform News Agency reports.
By tradition, the Guard of Honour was lined up to meet the high guest at the ceremonial hall.
The Presidential Orchestra performed the two countries’ national anthems, after which Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin walked along the carpet to the National Flag of Kazakhstan.
Then, the two leaders left for a closed-door meeting.
The presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia plan to hold negotiations on the topical issues of the bilateral strategic partnership. The presidents will also participate in the 19th Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum to be held in Kostanay via videoconference.
