Kazakh Secretary of State receives Swiss Ambassador S. Nellen

 ASTANA. November 21. KAZINFORM On Wednesday, Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed received at Akorda presidential residence Stephan Nellen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Kazakhstan, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh Secretary of State on behalf of President Nazarbayev thanked the diplomat for lending weighty contribution to the development of bilateral relations and active participation in significant foreign policy events of the country, especially when Kazakhstan was the chair of the OSCE.

"Throughout the years of your service as the ambassador of the Swiss Confederation in Kazakhstan, you have become a good friend of the country," M. Kul-Mukhammed said in his speech.

"Relations between Kazakhstan and Switzerland have improved in all spheres. This is reflected by a surge in the Kazakh-Swiss commercial and economic relations," he added.

"Over this period Switzerland has become the fourth biggest partner of Kazakhstan after Italy, China and the Netherlands. I would like to thank you for your work," the Kazakh Secretary of State concluded.
