Kazakh Senate Speaker Ashimbayev meets with China's top political advisor Wang Huning

As part of his official visit to China, Speaker of the Kazakh Parliament’s Senate Maulen Ashimbayev met with Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

According to Ashimbayev, Kazakhstan and China enjoy the enhanced multifaceted strategic partnership thanks to the high-level interaction between both countries’ heads of state, which led to the signature of mutually beneficial agreements and important documents. The dynamic of Kazakh-Chinese relations is regarded by experts as a new ‘golden period’ of development, it was pointed out.

The Kazakh Senate Speaker believes that cooperation between the countries’ key institutions of power, that are being strengthened through high-level political action, is an important interaction mechanism.

Ashimbayev drew attention to the importance of expanding multifaceted cooperation amid geopolitical tensions, conflicts and economic challenges, pointing to the countries’ shared views on many global and regional issues.

In this context, Ashimbayev expressed his support of the multipolar initiatives of China on sustainable and global development, which, according to him, are to make a great contribution to ensuring global security and peace. Special attention was attached to the importance of establishing working contacts between the countries within international organizations and multilateral formats, including the CA-China format.

We pay special attention to enhance dialogue with the People's Political Consultative Conference of China. Our common task is to ensure efficient realization of all agreements reached at the level of the heads of state. The Kazakh Parliament’s Senate is ready for active interaction in this direction, said Ashimbayev.

Speaker Ashimbayev spoke in detail about the comprehensive changes in the political and socio-economic spheres underway in Kazakhstan at the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

On his part, Wang Huning hailed the level of Kazakh-Chinese relations and stressed the role of the heads of China and Kazakhstan in enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation. The Chinese politician also highlighted the importance of the reforms carried out in Kazakhstan at the initiative of the Kazakh leader, reaffirming China’s intention to continue actively developing interaction with Kazakhstan both bilaterally and globally.

Earlier, Kazakh Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev had met with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Zhao Leji.
