Kazakh Senate Speaker condoles over Moscow concert hall shooting

At the instruction of the Head of State the Kazakh Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev visited Russia’s Embassy in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Senate’s press service.

The speaker expressed condolences to the Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan over the deadly shooting in Moscow's outskirts, laid flowers, and left comments in the condolence book. He noted Kazakhstan is shocked by tragic events that left many civilians dead.

As earlier reported, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the phone call, President Tokayev expressed deep condolences to Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia on behalf of all Kazakhstanis over the deadly terrorist attack near Moscow.

The Head of State strongly condemned the heinous act of violence against civilians and reiterated Kazakhstan’s solidarity with Russia in terms of the fight against terrorism.

Vladimir Putin, in turn, thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the words of support.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired a meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Having once again condemned the recent act of violence against civilians near Moscow, the Head of State reiterated Kazakhstan’s solidarity with Russia in the fight against terrorism.

Earlier it was reported that unidentified gunmen opened fire at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. Dozens of people were killed and injured, including children, in the terrorist attack.
