Kazakh Senate Speaker held bilateral meetings in Doha
Congratulating the Emir on the Day of Independence, which is marked in Qatar on December 18, the Speaker outlined the high level of interaction between the two countries in all spheres of interstate ties; the Senate's press service reports.
"Kazakhstan is interested in cooperation development with Qatar," the Speaker said and stressed an important role of the joint intergovernmental commission.
Highly appraising Qatar's initiative on holding the conference on interfaith dialog in Doha, K.Mami conveyed an invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to head of Qatar to attend the IV Congress of world and traditional religions in Astana in May, 2012.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani accepted the invitation of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. He also noted Qatar's readiness to actively develop cooperation with Kazakhstan in economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Also K.Mami met with Qatar's Advisory Council Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Kholeifi.
Noting importance of interparliamentary element in development of bilateral relations, the sides spoke for further activation of ties. K.Mami wished Qatar success in conducting parliamentary elections in 2013, which will be held for the first time in the country.
The Kazakh Speaker invited the colleague to pay an official visit to our country. The Advisory Council Speaker congratulated on the Day of Independence of Kazakhstan.
