Kazakh Senate Speaker meets with US President

The Speaker conveyed good wishes of President Nazarbayev to President Obama. He noted that Kazakhstan still follows the nuclear non-proliferation policy, what was confirmed during the recent talks with President of Iran in Astana. K. Tokayev informed the US President on Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev?s statement concerning Kazakhstan?s readiness to place the nuclear fuel bank on its territory under the supervision of the IAEA. B. Obama was presented an invitation from President Nazarbayev to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan at a time convenient to him. The US President noted that he respects Kazakhstan leader, appreciates business contacts with him and is ready to work together to implement mutual agreements reached during the February telephone conversation. Having noted the strategic character of relations with Kazakhstan, B. Obama said that he plans a Central Asia trip, and first of all he ?will visit Kazakhstan that is a friend and reliable partner of the USA?.
