Kazakh Senate Speaker participates in Munich Security Conference
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The 51st International Security Conference opened in Munich on February 6. The conference is an internationally recognized platform where statesmen, diplomats, public figures and businessmen discuss the most pressing issues.
The agenda of the 51st conference includes issues related to settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and the fight against ISIS, the press service of the Kazakh Senate reports. This year's conference brought together the record number of delegates, including 20 heads of state and government, 60 foreign and defense ministers, experts in international relations. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, defense ministers of Great Britain and France, and many others delivered speeches on the first day of the conference. Senate Speaker of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev is also participating in the conference on the instruction of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
