Kazakh Senate Speaker received Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan

ASTANA. May 25. KAZINFORM Chairman of Senate Kairat Mami met with Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan Alexander at his request, K. Mami posted in his blog on the Parliament's site.

We discussed the oncoming visit of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for participation in the IV Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions scheduled on May 29-30 in Astana.

Metropolitan Alexander appreciated the Kazakh President's initiative to convene the congress of spiritual leaders in Astana. Kazakhstan set the tone to the international community for unification, harmony, friendship and consensus of meetings of the world confessions' leaders," the Senator's blog reads.
