Kazakh Senate Speaker receives Chinese Ambassador
ASTANA. May 7. KAZINFORM Kazakh Senate Chairman Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People?s Republic of China to Kazakhstan Chen Gopin; Kazinform refers to the Senate?s press service.

Noting the historical character of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev?s recent state visit to the PRC, K.Tokayev emphasized significance of implementation of the agreements reached for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
According to K.Tokayev, an important element of the interstate relations is interparliamentary ties. ?We attach great importance to cooperation development between the supreme representative bodies of Kazakhstan and the PRC. We have opportunities for successful interaction and because of it, it is necessary to elaborate a mechanism for regular consultations and exchange of experience in legislative activity?, the Speaker said.
K.Tokayev conveyed the best wishes to Chairman of the National People's Congress Wu Bangguo and noted that Kazakhstan expects the Chairman with an official visit.
The Chinese diplomat backed up the Speaker?s opinion on the necessity of the interparliamentary ties activation and filling of the parliamentary interaction with practical content.
They exchanged opinions on the issues regarding the SCO parliamentary initiative implementation.
