Kazakh Senate Speaker receives Finnish Ambassador

Congratulating the head of the Finnish diplomatic mission on appointment on this position, K.Tokayev expressed confidence that his activity will promote further strengthening mutual Kazakh-Finnish cooperation, an important impulse to which gave a state visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Helsinki in March. 2009.
He told about the structure and activity of the Kazakh Parliament and noted importance of development of Interparliamentary ties between the two countries.
"The Kazakh Parliament deputies intend to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the Finnish colleagues and develop multilateral ties in international organizations", the Speaker said. In this connection he invited the Finnish parliamentarians-members of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to take part in the Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum.
K.Tokayev expressed gratitude to Finland for support of Kazakhstan's foreign policy initiatives.
Mikko Kinnunen, in his turn, expressed confidence that the upcoming chairmanship of our country in the OSCE will be successful and fruitful and expressed gratitude to K.Tokayev for his fruitful activity on development and strengthening international relations.
