Kazakh Senate Speaker spoke for CIS IPA active participation in observation of elections

INT PETERSBURG. December 23. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Today Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kairat Mami, who arrived in Saint Petersburg for the 13th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian Economic Community, met with secretary general of the Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states Mikhail Krotov.

Mami highlighting fruitful work of the CIS IPA observer mission for monitoring the Russian State Duma elections spoke for the active participation of the CIS IPA for observing the forthcoming elections to the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament.

"The Assembly's practice and Secretariat's participation in such events in the CIS countries will contribute to well-organized monitoring of the Majilis elections," Mami said.

According to him, the forthcoming elections in Kazakhstan will be open, free and fair.
