Kazakh senator monitors elections in Belarus as part of CIS IPA

Kazakhstani senator Nurlan Bekenov was a part of the CIS IPA mission which monitored the preparations and holding of elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the 8th convocation and local councils this weekend in Belarus, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Members of the mission took their time to meet with the leadership of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk city election commission, Minsk regional election commission, as well as local political parties as part of the monitoring process.

Belarusians headed to polls to vote for new Parliament and members of local councils on Sunday, February 25.
