Kazakh Senators met NATO Special Rep for Caucasus and Central Asia

The sides exchanged opinions about the further development of relations between Kazakhstan and NATO. They expressed contentment with the level of interaction within the Individual Partnership Action Plan. ?Kazakhstan keeps to the consistent constructive interaction with the NATO? Kuanysh Sultanov said and underlined the role of the parliament in the promotion of partnership relations with the Alliance. According to the Senator, the forthcoming NATO Parliamentary Assembly Rose-Roth seminar and Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council Security Forum in Astana will be an opportunity to discuss the issues of cooperation between the NATO partner countries. Robert Simmons highly appraised Kazakhstan?s efforts of support and rehabilitation of Afghanistan. He emphasized the significant role of Kazakhstan in ensuring security in the Central Asia.
