Kazakh shooters earn Olympic berths at Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship in Jakarta
Kazakhstan’s female team won a silver medal in three-position rifle shooting competition at the ongoing Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Ministry of Tourism and Sport.
Alexandra Le, Yelizaveta Bezrukova and Arina Altukhova represented Kazakhstan at the event. Team India was awarded the gold medal and bronze medal went to the South Korean team.
At the same event, Alexandra Le and Nikita Chiryukin secured 2024 Olympic Games berths.
At the 50m air rifle shooting event, Alexandra Le took seventh place, which was enough to get her Olympic quota.
Nikita Chiryukin was the first with 584 points when he entered the Rapid Fire Pistol competition having also secured his Olympic berth.
Earlier Islam Satpayev, Arina Altukhova and Konstantin Malinovskiy won their Olympic Games quotas.
