Kazakh short track speed skating team for Asian Winter Games Harbin revealed

The lineup of Kazakhstan's short track team to participate in the 9th Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025 in China has been announced, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.

According to head coach Petr Gamidov, the lineup, which was formed on the basis of the Kazakhstan-2024 championship’s results before the start of the new season, will take part in the event.

The athletes competed at the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Tour and trained for the Asian Games. Team Kazakhstan includes Denis Nikisha, Abzal Azhgaliyev, Mersaid Zhaxybayev, Adil Galiakhmetov, Gleb Ivchenko, Aibek Nassen, Olga Tikhonova, Yana Khan, Malika Yermek, Alina Azhgaliyeva, Madina Zhanbusinova, and Zeynep Kumarkhan.

Currently, the national team trains in Astana.

Earlier Kazinform News Agency reported that the figure and speed skating teams, which would represent the country at the Asian Winter Games, had been revealed.
