Kazakh skier Maria Gerachshenko wins bronze at intl tournament in Italy

Ski racer of the Olympic Training Center for Winter Sports Maria Gerachshenko became a bronze medalist among juniors in Women's 10km Interval Start Free race at the FIS event in Italy (COPPA ITALIA). She shared the podium with Italian athletes Beatrice Laurent and Virginia Cena, Kazinform News Agency reports via the press service of the Olympic Training Center.

Another Kazakh athlete Yelizaveta Tolmachyova finished 6^th in the same race. Sabina Suleimenova is also among Top 10.  Dastan Kalibekov finished 4^th and Artyom Zavyalov came 8^th among juniors.

Violetta Mitropolskaya finished 6^th in U-18 group of the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games qualification.

The competition held under the auspices of the FIS started on December 16 in the Italian city of Sappada. More than 130 athletes from Argentina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Slovenia and other countries are participating in the event.
