Kazakh speed skater Denis Kuzin to spring a surprise at Sochi Olympics

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani speed skater Denis Kuzin is believed to spring a surprise at the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi today, Kazinform refers to Vesti.kz.

The reigning world champion in 1000m race, the 25-year-old Kuzin will compete against many renowned athletes during today's event at the Adler Arena Skating Center.

Those include Shani Davis from the U.S., Tae Bum Mo from South Korea, Stefan Groothuis and Koen Verweij from the Netherlands.

The 1000m race is set to begin at 20:00 p.m. Astana time.
