Kazakh Sport Minister Marzhikpayev, NOC President Golovkin hold meeting

A meeting between Kazakh Tourism and Sport Minister Yermek Marzhikpayev and President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin took place in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The meeting focused on discussing the final stage of preparations as well as the readiness of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic.

Earlier it was agreed to prioritize coaches as well as doctors when forming a sports delegation, with the decision made to send the equal number of coaches and medical specialists as that of athletes.

During the meeting, Minister Marzhikpayev stressed the need for joint efforts to promote domestic sport and ensure the national teams achieve positive results at the international level, including in the new Olympic cycle.

In addition, Golovkin stated the readiness of the National Olympic Committee to promote international engagement during the upcoming World Nomad Games in Astana.
