Kazakh State Counselor Karin attends KazISS Scientific Board meeting

Today, the meeting of the Scientific Board of the Kazakhstani Institute for Strategic Studies under the Kazakhstan president took place with the participation of State Counselor Yerlan Karin, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.   

The meeting discussed the main directions of analytical work and key measures of the Institute for 2024. In particular, the KazISS activity is to focus on the study of domestic political processes and economic tendencies of Kazakhstan’s development, as well as determining contours of the foreign policy situation.

For his part, State Counselor Karin said that the general agenda of the state policy was set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his interview to Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper. Therefore, the KazISS as the key think tank should actively take part in the expert and analytical support of the implementation of the foreign policy.

Karin also commended the plans and initiatives of KazISS regarding the enhancement of interaction with the expert community in the regions, support for young experts, international cooperation expansion, including joint production of Central Asia’s Affairs magazine.
