Kazakh State Counselor Karin chairs meeting of Youth Policy Council under President

 Kazakh State Counselor Yerlan Karin chaired the meeting of the Youth Policy Council under the Kazakh President today, Kazinform Agency cites the Akorda press service. 

The Council’s meeting discussed the implementation of the 2023-25 Comprehensive plan against drug abuse and drug trafficking and the development of the draft roadmap to combat gambling addiction.

The State Counselor pointed out that the prevention and fight against drug abuse and gambling addiction are the main areas of work to cement the principles of law and order in the country and society. The members of the Council expressed confidence that the active participation of public activists contribute to the formation of zero tolerance to any wrongdoings in the society.

The meeting also discussed the draft national report ‘The Youth of Kazakhstan’, reflecting social parameters such as demography, health, education and science, economic behavior and civil and political participation.

Following the meeting, Karin noted that today the youth are not only the offerees of reforms but also the key driving force of the changes set. Karin called on the members of the Council to actively participate in the formation and promotion of the youth agenda to effectively address the pressing issues the Kazakhstani youth face.
