Kazakh team 4th at IBA Junior World Boxing Championships in Yerevan

From November 24 to December 4, the capital of Armenia hosted the IBA Junior World Boxing Championships. 357 athletes – 244 men and 113 ladies – from 51 countries competed for 26 sets of medals, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Kazakh boxers finished 4th in the medal count with 4 gold and 6 bronze medals after Russia (7gold, 2 silver, 7 bronze medals), Armenia (4gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medal) and Uzbekistan (4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals).

Gold medals were won by Ayazhan Sydyk (52-54kg), Tolganay Kassymkhan (57-60kg), Aissulu Mukhit (63-66kg), and Nurassyl Tulebek (52-54kg).

Bronze medalists are  Nygman Nygmet (46-48kg), Sila Bibolsynkyzy (46-48kg), Gaukhar Zarden (48-50kg), Aisha Saryyeva (50-52kg), Alina Kudagenova (60-63kg), and Kuralay Yeginbaikyzy (75-80kg).
